Week 3 weigh in results


Week 3 Results:
Week 3 biggest loser in pounds:  Tim 6.5 lbs
Week 3 biggest loser % wise:  Tim 7.23%
Week 3 total pounds lost by group:  19.5 lbs
Total pounds lost: 77.7 lbs
Overall it was a good week again. We had some big losers, we had some small losers and we had some stay the samers and gainers.  Everyone is allowed a bad week.  As long as its not bad every week, we are doing good!

Kandace gained.  She is upset as you can tell from the pic!  She knows what she did wrong and is starting fresh this week.

Cindy lost 1.5lbs.  With how excited she was, you would have thought she lost 10!  And I'm glad she was that happy!!!!  Go Cindy.

Diane had her biggest week yet.  She lost 5.5lbs.  She had some black little Levi's on today and they looked GOOD!  Way to go Diane!!!

Eric didn't have the best week. He gained .6.  He went home to MN and enjoyed the eating out a little too much!  But he's still cute!

Judy lost again!  She is down another 2 pounds!  Keep it up girl!  Judy has assured me that she will start wearing her smaller jeans.  The ones she had on today were ready to fall off.

And here is the leader in our competition.  Tim lost a whopping 6.5 pounds this week.  I just couldn't believe it.  He is down a total of 17.5 pounds in 3 weeks. Between him and Judy; I'm not sure who is more dedicated.  And they ae both very very competitive.  Keep it up Tim!  Also, buy some smaller pants.

Kim stayed the same this week. She said her jeans are falling off and she has tons of energy. She wasn't upset by her number.  She is motivated and proud of herself.  I'm proud of her too!  Keep it up KIM!

Jane had a good week again. She continues to exercise and eat well.  She was down another pound.  Keep it up Jane.  And bring me some diet green tea citrus flavor!

I gained .4 this week.  Bad weekend of traveling. I'm not upset, I kind of expected not to lose, so I just need to get back in my routine.  (I did get in a pair of jeans though that I haven't been able to get into since July of 2011, so something is working)

Look at Rosa's grin! I love it.  Rosa lost another pound.  She continues to work out and is drinking more water.  Rosa's sons are a big help!!!  I'm so glad they help motivate her and take bad food away from her!


We though Travis was a no show today, but he showed up and he showed up with BIG NUMBERS.  Travis finally had a loss! He lost 6.5 lbs.    We aren't quite sure how he did it, but whatever he did, it worked.

My shout out for the week goes to Jane and Julie Hejny!  They started weight watchers yesterday in Minnesota!!!!  I know they will do great and starting next week they will be joining the blog with their pictures and results!  The more the merrier!!!

Tori no longer works for us as of last Friday so she isn't going to be part of the competition anymore.  Tammy didn't want to be weighed or have her pic taken.  (Don't worry, next week we'll get her)

Biggest Loser GREC logo

Here is our logo for our little contest on site. We will eventually order shirts once I get organized. I asked a co-worker on site to create a logo for us and this is what he did!  It is amazing!!! I can't wait to order shirts.  I especially can't wait to order my shirt a size smaller than usual!  Go TEAM!  And Thanks Kelly Goon!!!!!!  YOU ROCK.

Week 2 weigh in RESULTS

Week 2 was a pretty big success.  I thought everyone did REALLY REALLY WELL!   Below are the results of week 2 and what each persons favorite snack is.

Stats for the week:

Total weight loss for the group for week 2:  27.8 lbs.
Overall total weight loss for the group:  64.2
Biggest loser pounds wise for week 2:  Tori
Biggest loser percentage wise at the end of week 2:  Judy (5.88%) 

Eric lost 1.2 this week.  Making for a total of 7.4 lbs.  His favorite snack is pistachios.  We bought him mini bags from Sams Club so he can't sit and eat a whole 1 lb. jumbo bag.  Eric also bbq'd this weekend for his family and it was all healthy!!!

Kandace rocked it again this week.  She lost 2.5 lbs. this week.   She has lost a total of 9 lbs in two weeks!  Her favorite healthy snack is organic yogurt with cranberry granola.  She said she doesn't like either one of those ingredients solo but together they are to die for. 

Tammy stayed the same.  She really doesn't like the dieting thing, but at least she didn't gain. She said her favorite snack is whatever her sister Judy feeds her. (except celery)  We believe in you Tammy!!!!

Tori followed her plan and didn't cheat once and it paid off!! She lost 6 lbs this week.  She is the biggest loser this week for pounds lost! Can't you tell how happy she is by the smile on her face. Her favorite healthy snack is sugarfree chocolate swirl pudding.  mmmmm.. that sounds good! Keep it up Tori!

Judy did great again!!! She lost 4.5 this week.  She has lot a total of 10 pounds total.  After I did all the math Judy is in the lead at the end of week 2 with the most % lost.  She has lost 5.88% of her body weight.  Her favorite healthy snack is celery.  She made us virgin bloody mary's for a snack today.  GOOD IDEA JUDY!  

Kim had another great week.  She lost 5.5 pounds this week. Kim has lost a total of 10.5 pounds.  Kim is working really hard and its paying off.  She is tracking all of her activity and her food with a Body Media Armband.  It syncs to her phone and her computer and tracks all of her stats.  It's pretty nifty and seems to be working for Kim.  Her favorite healthy snack is Popcorn.  I don't think anyone can argue that popcorn is a great snack.



Angie is down 3 pounds.  She gained a little last week but lost this week so she was really happy!!!!  Her favorite snack is Popcorn.  She really wanted to say chocolate but for her healthy snack choice she chooses popcorn!

Diane lost again this week.  She is pretty consistent.  She already was eating good so this dieting thing is not hard for her. She even gets a few beers here and there!!!  She is down a total of 3 lbs.  Dianes favorite healthy snack is nuts/almonds.  She recently discovered cinnamon covered almonds. She says it sounds kind of weird but its really really good.  She said cinnamon is good for your metabolism.  Thanks for the info Diane!

Cindy stayed the same....BUT she had a really really good weekend. She spent it on the beach being wined and dined by her husband!  Cindy doesn't really want to  lose a lot weight. She's doing this so she can maintain her current weight.  Her favorite healthy snack is yogurt with granola and bananas.

Jane lost another pound!  Jane's total weight loss is 2.8 pounds.  I think she only has like 4 more lbs to lose before she hits her goal.  She is really focusing on toning up her arms, legs and stomach area.  She weighed in with just a tank top on this morning.. You should have seen her guns.  The Start up guys went running to the other trailer!  Her favorite snack is chips and salsa!  She made us homemade salsa today for our low fat snack Monday!!!

Rosa lost another pound this week. That means Rosa has lost a total of 3 pounds since we started!  Rosa had some mozzy sticks this weekend, but everything in moderation is OK.  Rosa was supposed to bring an angel food cake cake with fresh fruit and yummies today but she said that it didn't bake right or look right.  After an hour and half went by last night she had her boys take it out of the oven.  It just wasn't rising right, so she is going to try it another day.  Her boys said even though it didn't look perfect, it sure tasted good.  Rosa went to bed and when she woke up this morning she found an EMPTY pan!!! The boys ate the whole cake.  She said they must have secretly planned to make the cake not work so they could eat the whole thing after mom went to bed.  hahahahahaha!!!  (Good plan guys!)  Rosa's favorite snack is chips and salsa!

We want to make a special shout out to Rosa's boys.  Their names are Abaran and Emilio.  They signed up for the color run in February and have started working out 5 days a week at Planet Fitness.  WAY TO GO!!!

Tim lost 3 pounds this week for a total of 11 pounds.  Tim has lost the most pounds out of everyone so far!  Way to go Tim!  Tim discovered his juicer this weekend.  He's pretty pumped about it.  Tim's favorite healthy snack is kellog fiber bars.  (fibericious or something like that)  Keep it up Tim!

I lost 1.8 pounds this week.  I didn't expect any more than 2 pounds after the week I had last week.  I am down a total of 10 pounds and I'm really proud of that!  My favorite healthy snack is yoplait strawberry shortcake yogurt. I also really really like Trader Joe's fruit rollups.  They are only 50 calories.

Travis had a GREAT weekend.  When we use the word great on this blog it usually means someone ate a whole heck of a lot of good food.  All of us on this blog are jealous of Travis' mad eating skills.  But Travis gained this week.  I don't think he's too upset about it.  He said his favorite healthy snack is carrots and green peppers!

Here is a picture of Judy's virgin Bloody Mary.  It was spicy but soo sooo good!

Judy also graced us with her baked goods:  100 calorie Right bites. I tried all 3, and I have to say all of them were good.  Judy, you should bake more often.

Janes Salsa is below!  Super good and super good for you!  It is pretty too!!!  We will have to beg, yell, borrow and steal to get her recipe.

I made low fat, high in fiber apple cinnamon muffins.  Each is 60 calories.  I burnt over half of them so not many made it to work, but we had enough food.


Diane was nice enough to share her frozen grapes.  I had never had a frozen grape.  Holy cow, these suckers were good.  I am now going to the store after work to get grapes!!!

Kiim brought Hummus.  It's not real low in fat, but its good for you. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it.  Good idea Kim!

I also wanted to share an email I got this morning... Weight Watchers is #1 again in 2013 for weight loss plan.  They have been #1 in 2011, 2012 and now 2013!!! Congrats WW! I'm proud to say I'm a member!

Walk Walk Walk Walk


Here are a couple 5K's in our Florida area.

Gainesville, FL February 23rd  is the 5K-9 run.  I am going to hopefully run this, but if I have people join me that want to walk, we'll walk it.  Either way is good!  To get out, meet people that are local and meet other dog lovers!  This will be a blast.  And for the next 4 days there is a groupon to get this half off!  Come join me!!!

Jacksonville, Florida  Feb 9th  at 9 AM is the Color run!  I love Color Runs!!!  We are going to walk this. So far my friend AJ is coming from Wyoming, a soon to be Cousin in law (Mary May), or whatever you would call that, and I have Rosa (you might recognize her from the blog) and her two sons!  I'm inviting anyone else that wants to join us to come and have a blast.

Week 1 Weigh in

This is the start of week 2 for the Biggest Loser - GREC.  Everyone told me today what their ultimate goal was and why the really wanted to lose weight.   As a whole we lost 36.4 lbs.  This is a great start.  I think everyone is almost more excited for week 2 then we were for week 1.  We are also all aware that if we had a big losing week this week that it will slow down.  Its not healthy to keep the big numbers up week after week.  Healthy weight loss and the recommended weight loss is 1-2 lbs weekly!

I'm just so proud of everyone!!! KEEP IT UP!
Kandace lost 6.5 lbs in her first week!  She was as shocked as the rest of us!  Kandace wants a 6 pack!  Swimsuit season is upon us.  She wants to be sitting in the Florida Keys in her bikini with a 6 pack!


Tori stayed the same.  She was kind of disappointed, but she kind of knew it was coming.  She said she drank lots of water and watched what she ate, but she went out and had a good time on Saturday night.  She swears that is what went wrong.  I agree with her.  She said this week she is going to keep going because she knows how to lose it, she's just gotta stay on track.  Her goal for wanting to lose weight is to be "skinny".  Even if its for a day, she's never been a skinny person, she wants to know how it feels, and turn a few heads.

Tammy gained this week.  We have vouched that if we gain week, we won't show what we gain.  When she first came in I think she expected that the scale wouldn't be down.  She said she's going to walk more and that Judy is a lot of help and that she'll utilize Judy more.  Her goal is to fit into all of her old clothes!


Judy lost 5.5!!! Judy rocked this week.  She wanted to lose more, but 5.5 is an awesome number.  Her goal is to be able to feel good about herself and feel good about how she looks also.  We already think she looks good, but its a great goal! 

Kim lost 5 lbs.  She had an awesome week!  She is really sore from her workouts but she says its well worth it.  The reason she wants to lose weight is so she can be a really cool rockstar kind of retired person.  She doesn't want to be shuffling around with a walker at the age of 60!

Angie gained a little bit this week.  But since she started with Fagen (almost a year ago) she has lost 40 lbs!  She said she just needs to get on track.  But with the 40 lbs she has lost already her Diabetes numbers are looking better and she feels much better.  She makes all of us smile!  Her goal for losing weight is to feel better, and kick the diabetes all together.  WE think that is a great goal!

Diane lost 1.5!  That is a great start and she'll keep chugging along. She lost that weight even with her son visiting.  I think that is a win just in itself!  Her goal is to bea healthy and feel good about herself! 


Tim lost a whopping 8 lbs.  He feels pretty good about it too.  We had a long talk this morning about how amazing it is that in just week you can see how much food we were consuming to what we ate in the last week.  About how much we were all over consuming.  He discovered Trader Joe's this weekend.  He said there was pro's and con's on the food!  Tim is going to keep doing what he's doing.  He even had a few chocolate whoppers last week and still did great! Tims goal for losing weight is that he wants to lose a total of 50 lbs and wants to lose it before his trip to China.  I believe they go this fall.  His goal is totally do-able!

Cindy gained this week. Not much, but she gained.  As you can tell from the look on her face, she wasn't very happy.  But she did admit she had a few brewha's over the weekend.  She wasn't all that surprised by her gain, but she's back on the wagon, and we talked about her walking.  She is going to walk walk walk! She wants to lose weight so she can feel healthy, look better and not be so jiggly!!

I had a pretty good week, but I always have a pretty good week with my first week back at WW.  I followed the plan to a T and walked every single day.  My goal overall is to be healthy and look healthy.  I have so much clothes I can't fit in and I want to get into them.  My ultimate goal is to be at a healthy weight and start a family!!!

Jane lost 1.8 lbs!  Jane also ran at the beach this weekend and rode her bike with her daughter!  She said it was a great workout. We are all jealous that she got to run at the beach. She wanted to lose more this week, but look at her, she is already small.  I think her goal is to be smaller than a small person!  But really her goal is to go from a Keg to a 6 pack in her stomach area.  She is ready for swimsuit season!

Travis lost .5.  He wanted more, but at least it is a loss.  His ultimate goal is to "bring sexy back!!" 

Rosa started a few days after us, but look she still lost 2 lbs!  She also joined Planet Fitness with her two sons.  I am so proud of her!!   She is seeing progress and she is totally modivated!  She is also walking a 5K in February!  GO ROSA!!!  Her ultimate goal is to be healthy for her family and I think she's on the right track!!!

Eric, Well eric lost 6.2 lbs!!! Eric said his weight loss strategy was a secret.  I believe that it still is, but he spilled the beans, that cutting out late night snacks and taking Coach for a walk helped him lose his weight this week.  He also watched his portions big time.  His ultimate goal is to look as good as his wife does in a swimsuit!!! GO ERIC!

New Additions to the Biggest Loser!

We had two late comers to the game.  I was hesitant to add them because they are both known to cause trouble.  They paid me in beans for me to agree to add them late in the game.  (I should have only accepted chocolate) Typical of these two, but we are happy to have them and happy they have joined the GREC Biggest Loser crew!!!!


Meet our Latin Goddess Rosa!  She doesn't want a full body picture of her posted, but her after pictures are gonna be Hot Hot Hot.  We have already started calling her ONE HOT MAMA-CITA!!! (OOWW, OOWW).  Rosa is going to watch what she's eating, try some HCG recipes and exercise!


And finally meet Mary Jane, She is cutting sugar out of her diet, she is watching what she's eating, drinking lots of water and doing Cardio.  Her goal is to lose her muffin top and belly!  I don't think she has anything to lose, but everyone has something they don't like about themselves.  Watch out for this one though, she is having coffee withdrawels and is yelling and screaming at everyone in the Document Control Office.  So unless its life or death, stay away from our office!


Wish these two the best!  Even though they started late doesn't mean they can't win!!!
